
Alyssandra won her second Barrymore Award in 2024 for her design of Once On This Island at Arden Theatre Company. The show garnered 7 awards, including Outstanding Overall production of a Musical.

The Broad Street Review featured Aly in two different articles in July of 2024. First was a profile detailing her work. Aly sat with Melissa Strong to discuss the process of lighting dance from start to finish. Following that piece was a feature by Camille Bacon-Smith on Lighting Designers for various dance companies in Philadelphia drawing similarities in how each one approaches the art.

Alyssandra was nominated twice for the Earl Girls Award for Outstanding Lighting Design Barrymore Awards in 2019. One for her work on Completeness at Theatre Exile, and one for The Color Purple at Theatre Horizon. The latter won in six categories, including Outstanding Overall Production of a Musical.

Alyssandra was nominated for an Ostrander Award for Best Lighting Design of a Drama. Aly spent two weeks in Memphis in May 2019 designing The Parchman Hour.

In their Bonaly review, both Elaina and Hannah had a lot of praise to share, saying respectively, "the design was delightfully restrained, and she saved the pop for the final moment of the play" and "the lighting was noticeably excellent. Mazeppa Productions' Closer Than Ever was wonderfully received by audiences and critics alike. Phindie called the lighting "beautiful" and philly.com said "Alyssandra Docherty's lighting highlights [the] emotional contours."

Phindie said Avenue Q's "young cast and designers appear[ed] to have sprung, Athena-like from the head of Zeus—fully grown and armed to the teeth."

Spring Awakening helped put Mazeppa Productions on the Philly theatre scene map when Philadelphia Weekly dubbed it the "first sleeper hit of the season."
